Gallagher is the first show-dog in our household. We have high hopes for this amazing fellow. He came home to us on July 15th, from Carole Brechbill at Shaynedoro. A little bundle of joy, Gallagher makes every moment full of fun and love. His tail rarely stops wagging, and he always has that ‘goofy puppy’ expression on his face.
Gallagher has quite the drive to retrieve- he’ll retrieve anything in fact; including his kong, snow-balls, tennis-balls, even socks! Gallagher and I will be learning from eachother as we venture into the show ring in Spring 2005. He is my first showdog, and still a puppy himself. But thankfully we’ve gotten alot of help from some amazing people around here; including Connie Johnson (Ambertru) , Jennifer Marquardt (Jengar), Carole Brechbill (Shaynedoro), and Heather Mortensen (Arcane) who are giving me quite a bit of assistance with this new adventure. | ||
Gallagher has very nice, thick bone, nice head, and I love his coloring. His tail is still a little long, but he should grow into it in time.
Gally has nice reach & drive in his gait, I am working on slowing him down as he tends to zip along, rather than gaiting how he’s supposed to. Although I am definitely to blame for part of his movement problems; being a novice to the entire handling world. |
